The goal of this series is to take a look at the things we strive for to make us happy, but really leave us feeling unfulfilled in light of the happiness that Scripture describes. This series is based on the teaching of Sean McDowell.

Our high school students are currently going through a series we are calling “The Three Hardest Words”. This series is based on the teaching of Leonard Sweet. The idea is that the three hardest words in the human language to get right are “I”, and “love” and “you”. Our goal is that our students will better understand these three words and what it means to live out love in this world.
Questions for follow-up at home:
1) What did you study tonight?
2) How were you able to go deeper in your small group? Which small group question this week really challenged you or made you think?
3) Do you feel you are living the Biblical truths taught this week in your daily life? How can I help you to better live them out?
NEW FLOOD TEACHING SERIES: SPIRITUAL HABITS

For the next several weeks we will be taking a look at the spiritual disciplines of the Christian faith in a series we are calling, “Spiritual Habits”. Our goal for this series is to examine the habits that we can implement into our lives that will help us more closely connect with and follow Christ with our lives.

New Modified Teaching Series: CONFLICT

We are starting a new teaching series called “Conflict”. This is a video-based series featuring the teaching of veteran Youth Minister Doug Fields of Saddleback Church. We will be looking at how to Biblically resolve conflict among ourselves and parents, friends, authority, and God.

2) What did you learn about how to best deal with this type of conflict in your life?
3) How can I help you better be prepared for and deal with this type of conflict in your life?

This series is hot! Literally! We are tackling the “hot topics” of Christianity. This series will take a look at the afterlife, homosexuality, women in ministry, and doubt. You won’t want your student to miss a single week of this series!

Our current Flood Middle School teaching series is called “THE GOOD GUYS”. In this series our goal is to teach our students about some of the “good guys” of Scripture and what characteristics helped them to overcome their obstacles and be remembered as good guys.

1) Which modern-day and which Biblical “good guy” did you learn about tonight?
2) What characteristic or fact about the way they live their life makes them known as being a good guy?

Flood talk on “Change”

This week Adam will be talking with us on the topic of “change”. Sometimes we like change, sometime we fear change. This week we will look at what it means to have God with us, in control during every kind of change we may face in our lives.

What does it mean to be “Determined”? Where does determination come from? What are the things in life we should be determined to accomplish? This series will take a look at Biblical characters who were determined in faith to make a difference.
